| Ikebana International is a non-profit making, cultural society devoted to the study of Japanese flower arranging and related arts. It is a world-wide organization now and flourishes in many countries. Through close ties with the Headquarters in Tokyo, grows an ever-widening circle of friendship and understanding. Our motto of "Friendship Through Flowers" enables people who do not speak the same language, to bridge that gulf by an understanding and appreciation of this compelling art. ********** |
Meetings are held once a month, on a Wednesday. All programmes are conducted in English and are so geared that beginners and trained people can participate. Besides demonstrations and exhibitions, members are able to meet and get to know each other on social occasions arranged from time to time. Ikebana International in Hong Kong is a very international group, giving ample opportunity of meeting people of different cultures. *********** |
